Health authorities say that suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Among countries, it belongs to the upper 20 causes of death for all ages. The number of people who kill themselves every year has reached a million, according to World Health Organization (WHO). Gary Speed, manager of the Wales national team, was no exemption: he had also ended his own life at age 42. He was famous for being a great midfielder. He was someone who had it good and was not thought to be depressed, he may not even have filed a Zoloft lawsuit.
Many people sighed in disbelief when they heard the news that Speed has killed himself. Nobody has expected him to take his own life. He left a widow and two teenage sons to face questions about his death. Fans are still at a loss. The life that Speed had led was a truly remarkable one. Hayden Evans, a talent agent and close friend of the family, said that Speed has never had any problems with depression. It was around seven in the morning when Louise, wife of Speed, found her husband dangling in their garage. She had also said nothing on why he committed suicide. The last show on which he was last seen in was in BBC1 Football Focus, which was taped just hours before he killed himself. The presenter on BBC1, Dan Walker, shared the information that Speed was nothing but that Wales played under him made them won four to one which affirmed his managerial skills.
The outpouring of tributes for Gary Speed has been increasing since his untimely death. As fans mourned the loss of a great player, they have brought tributes to the place where he used to play and outside his house. They brought flowers, jerseys, scarves and other memorabilia that they have of the footballer. They were also asking the press to stop sensationalizing his death as a gesture of respect to his family.
