			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lots of people watch a game of soccer and do not know how many hours go into practicing the various <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/mastering-soccer-skills-with-the-help-of-your-coach">soccer skills</a> needed to play the game.  To become a decent player, it will cost considerable time doing boring <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/the-importance-of-practicing-soccer-skills">coaching drills</a>.  These are the foundation of soccer; they help you to get your body used to doing certain moves and never have to consider it.</p>
<p> Running down a field while keeping charge of a ball is not as easy as it looks.  Consider that there will be a number of other people looking to get that ball from you and it is even harder.  When you join a team become familiar with how you can move having a ball, how to ensure that it stays from the other team, how to pass it, and you will learn to get this done while running as fast as you can.  If you can have at least part of what you ought to do almost automatic, then you can concentrate on other things.  The drills will help you with this.</p>
<p> While at practice you have to be careful about your team mates too.  Find out how they move, listen when the coach lets you know about individual strengths and weaknesses.  Soccer is really a team sport, and you all have to know how to play with one another.  Don&#8217;t think of the hour you spent passing the ball round the field as a chore or punishment, instead pay attention.  As it pertains game time you will need to know such things as number 3 is great when the ball is due him about the right, but misses a lot if developing the left.</p>
<p> It is important to be sure you go to all your practices.  Yes, this can mean giving up some of your spare time.  Practice may not be as much fun as a game, but if you don&#8217;t go you won&#8217;t be able to play.  Your coach, or the organization itself, may have rules on attending practices to be eligible to experience.  More importantly though, if you don&#8217;t go to practices you won&#8217;t have the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/working-on-soccer-skills-fun-and-easy-soccer-drills-for-kids">soccer fitness</a> to play.  You&#8217;re no good towards the team if you get fatigued in the middle of the overall game.  Make sure to keep your body up and moving, during half time you may want to spend a couple of minutes re-warming up before going out to play.</p>
<p> Soccer might not be a complete contact sport, but there is a lot of endurance needed, and lots of skill.  If you plan on playing the overall game, take time to discover the basic soccer skills and intend on practicing a lot!</p>

<p> Running, sprinting, turning and twisting, side-stepping, and getting ready for a shot are all the exercises performed in soccer. The &#8220;anterior and posterior chain,&#8221; are the chain of muscles which are required to perform these actions must be given importance to develop strength, stability and power.</p>
<p> The best exercises for developing these muscles are the core lifts, like squats and deadlifts. The normal soccer fitness program should useful if special importance is given to these two core lifts that are crucial for leg, hip, back and abdominal strength.</p>
<p> To concentrate on the shoulders, arms and back muscle areas the program should also include swimming.</p>
<p> Usually strength enhancing programs include heavy weight lifting with few repetitions. You should be knowing by now that unlike other sports requiring bulk and weight soccer is a sport that requires strength with mobility, speed and stamina.</p>
<p> Strengthening highly vulnerable muscle groups could also add to the performance benefits in the absence of primary strength, power or endurance gains. They are the lower back and hamstrings, and the quadriceps muscles that help knee joint function.</p>

<p> Only power will be enhanced if you just simply use the common trainings that almost all of the popular fitness magazines advocate. Those traditional soccer fitness programs can also can be amended if you intentionally increase contraction speed.</p>
<p> Strength Endurance: Strength or muscular stamina is the ability of a muscle group to carry out repeated and high-intensity movements. The game of soccer requires strength endurance which has similar importance as power.</p>
<p> Therefore strength endurance should be given importance to in your soccer training programs. Going back to the basic 3 sets of 8-12 reps each, general weights programs are unproductive for developing soccer-specific strength endurance.</p>

Your players will have a chance to play at a higher level if they develop themselves using this soccer fitness plan discussed as follows.</p>
<p> During soccer weight training the aim is to improve the strength, speed and stamina of the muscles instead of just increasing the muscle weight. For overall conditioning and strength we still continue with the upper body weight training however its significance is not as much as the leg strength.</p>
<p> I recommend you begin your fitness training with the legs. You can start the warm up session with squats. When you are done with this warm up activity players are supposed to do 20 reps, so bar to be loaded should be according to their capacity. Let&#8217;s say they are pretty strong, so tell them to begin with 220 pounds. The exercise involves getting under the bar then placing it on the upper back and finally standing up with it.</p>
<p> Now they must stand keeping their shoulders and feet width apart. Next they move downwards keeping hold of the bar up until their hips are just below the upper part of their knees. At this point in weight training soccer, players should quickly rise to the full standing position and exhale. Encourage them to repeat this for 20 reps even when they are dead tired.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/fitness">Soccer Fitness</a></p>
<p> Give them a break for about 5 to 10 minutes and then start with the leg curl machine to work on the hamstrings. 4 sets of 15 reps each should be completed by them. During each set of Leg Curls, Stiff-Legged Dead lift should be performed with 4 sets of 15 reps. As player’s speed is greatly improves by strong hamstrings, so they should be very tough.</p>
<p> Then conclude your leg workout with 3 sets of 25 reps on the Standing calf-raise machine.</p>
<p> Now for the upper body work out begin with the Incline bench press.<br /> Now when the they are warmed up they must go on by including enough weights so that the next set of 10 reps is harder to do. A total of 5 sets of 10 repetitions are required with the weights, while stretching their chest and shoulders, yet pausing to relax for 2 minutes in the middle of each set.</p>
<p> Next are the pull-up exercises in this section of soccer strength training. Players should do this with their palms facing their body to work their biceps as well as the back. The final part of the upper body work out involves working on abdominals and doing 5 sets of 20 or more reps of leg raises. The final exercise is sit-ups, complete 5 sets of 50 or more.</p>

<p> A majority of coaches believe that by just giving oral instructions to the kids, they’ll know everything and this is where they go wrong. Since formations are an important topic, you must always chat about it with the players before the match.</p>
<p> These are tactical choices usually made in the form of numbers and which describe the soccer positions of the players in each area from the defensive line. The formations should never be inflexible and so the coach must continue to exchange players in every game. Make sure that you finalize the formations only after keeping in mind the strengths and weaknesses of every player as it’s very significant.</p>
<p> Following are some of the common formations used in soccer:</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/formations">Soccer Formations</a></p>
<p> 4-4-2: This one is the most commonly used formation. This formation has four defenders, four players on midfield, and two attackers, not including the goalie and this is why it’s called a 4-4-2.</p>
<p> In this formation, midfielders play the most important role in form of supporting the forwarders through defense. In the event of an attack, they must move to the goal line and help the defenders.</p>
<p> 4-5-1: This is a defensive formation and consists of five midfielders and one forward. The advantage with this formation is that since the midfielders are stacked up in the center, the opponents have a hard time attacking.</p>
<p> And because there is only 1 forward, it allows the midfielders to move forward thereby leaving the opposition high and dry.</p>
<p> 3-5-2: This formation has three defenders, five midfielders, and two forwards. This formation has the attacking as well as defending advantage since 2 wingmen get to attack and the center midfielder disallows counter attacking.</p>
<p> 3-4-3: This is the most dynamic and aggressive formation on the soccer field diagram that is used by the team when it expects its opponents to play safe or defensive. With the aid of three defenders, four midfielders and three forwards, the plan of action is to attack using the forwards and use the defenders in the event of the opposition tearing apart the defensive line.</p>

<p>Let it be known that a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/soccer_conditioning.html">soccer conditioning</a> program is the very basis on which the success of any team depends. The result of following soccer exercises is strength, agility, and endurance which permit them to be called fit for the game, let alone winning it.</p>
<p> However, there may be situations when you and your team do not get enough days to train before a tournament. This does not suggest you to cut back on your conditioning exercises. You don’t wish to see your players getting hurt prior to the match or at some point in the game.</p>
<p> A well planned soccer fitness training course has the capacity to fully train the players even in less that 3 days time. All that it takes is seriousness, good preparation, and its implementation. These are some guidelines that lead to short but useful conditioning plans.</p>
<p> Warming up: Instruct the players to start with any of the following; a five minute jog, high knees, jumping, or heel flicks. Take adequate rest for a few seconds in between. Then do a few stretching exercises for about 5 minutes to tone up the muscles. Make sure that these soccer workouts consist of all the main muscle groups.</p>

<p>Running: Some coaches have a tendency to make the players do constant running. Though it’s absolutely ok, but in my opinion the players should be made to practice only soccer specific running. This leads to the fact that they do running, jogging, walking, and sprinting in no set order for half an hour.</p>
<p> This running at varying speeds builds stamina and also helps players control their body. Also, they do not get fatigued since a walk after a sprint balances things out.</p>
<p> Leave the decision making to the individual players about what to do and when. If they wish to do sprints more than light jogging, there is no harm in it. As the stamina of the kids increases, you can increase the duration of the soccer conditioning program slightly.</p>
<p> Stretching: Persuade the players to do stretching exercises both after the training session as well as a match. Concentrate on including the whole body but emphasize on hamstrings, groins, quads, calves and lower back. Ensure that the stretching positions are of longer durations than the warm-up sessions. Usually, 20 to 30 seconds is perfect.</p>
<p> Instruct the players to take adequate rest a day before the match. This will make the muscles build up strength as well as negate the possibility of injuries. Also, this is a great time to talk to the players and giving them a high.</p>
<p> Discuss some funny things or joke so that they feel lighter.</p>
