World Cup 2010 Ball

The Adidas Jabulani is the official match ball for the 2010 FIFA World Cup thatunveiled in Cape Town, South Africa on December 4, 2009. Jabulani means “rejoice” in Zulu, and was developed at Loughborough University, UK.

The ball was also used as the match ball of 2009 FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, and a special version of the ball, the Jabulani Angola, was the match ball of the 2010 African Cup of Nations. This ball is also used in the 2010 MLS season in the USA in the league’s colours of blue and green as well as the 2010 Clausura Tournament of Argentina.

The Jabulani has four triangular design elements on a white background. Eleven different colours are used, representing the eleven players on a football team, the eleven official languages of South Africa, and the eleven South African communities.

The Jabulani Angola, used at the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola, was coloured to represent the yellow, red, and black of the host nation’s flag. A gold version of the Jabulani ball, was announced as the ball for the World Cup Final. The ball will be called the “Jo’bulani”, playing off the Johannesburg nickname of “The Golden City”.

The Jabulani balls are made in China, using latex bladders made in India, thermoplastic polyurethane-elastomer from Taiwan, ethylene vinyl acetate, isotropic polyester/cotton fabric, glue, and ink from China.

The Jabulani is going to be every goalkeeper’s nightmare, and every striker’s greatest Christmas gift. To be honest, I can’t wait to see Cristiano Ronaldo strike this Jabulani Soccer Ball because when he does it could be spectacular! I spent some time taking shots and it absolutely pings. The Jabulani is a very light ball and when you strike it clean it moves fast. In a sense, it reminds me of a plastic ball and it sounds plastic when you bounce it.

One of customer review is Fernando Robledo. Here is what he said about World Cup 2010 Ball “Best Soccerball ever. Now I know why soccer players kick hard and move fast. It’s all about the Ball.”

The name ”JABULANI” originates from the Bantu language isiZulu, one of the eleven official languages of the Republic of South Africa, which is spoken by almost 25% of the population. Literally translated, “JABULANI” means “to celebrate”. Football is a passion that unites the world. The name of the new soccer ball appropriately pays tribute to the passionate football celebration international fans will enjoy in South Africa next summer.

The colourful architecture of Jabulani accomplish adapted accord in amazing assortment of the country. Four triangle-shaped design elements on a white background lend the ball a unique appearance in African spirit. And like the outer facade of Johannesburg’s Soccer City Stadium, individual design elements also capture the colourfulness of South Africa.

When World Cup 2010 Ball took the opportunity to be tested in game, the resulting views were all very similar, with a lot of guys pointing out the fact that the Jabulani moves super fast and ends up playing longer than expected. Jabulani Ball

FIFA and Adidas presented the Official Match Ball for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa that call the adidas “JABULANI”™, which has been developed in affiliation with academics at Loughborough University.

The “JABULANI”, which agency “to celebrate” in isiZulu, appearance a South African aggressive architecture and radically new technology. The new match ball, soon will be available in retail outlets which was unveiled in Cape Town.

Aero grooves make the ball’s surface become the clearly visible profile. The Grip’n’Groove profile circles round the entire ball in an optimal aerodynamic way. The integrated grooves provide unmatched flight characteristics, making this the most stable and most accurate adidas ball ever. The ground-breaking performance features of the adidas “JABULANI” have been confirmed in comprehensive comparison tests and checks in the wind tunnel at Loughborough University and the adidas football laboratory in Scheinfeld, Germany.

If you hit a solid, controlled shot that flies straight, it will stay ultra straight. You will get an added 10 yards out of the brawl with a nice little dip at the end. But, if you put some circuit on the ball, it moves! When I say the brawl moves, I beggarly it dips, and weaves, and turns like no other!

The Adidas Jabulani is going to be every goalkeeper’s nightmare, and every striker’s greatest Christmas gift. To be honest, I can’t wait to see Cristiano Ronaldo strike this ball, Jabulani Soccer Ball because when he does it could be spectacular! I spent some time taking shots and it absolutely pings. The Jabulani is a very light ball and when you strike it clean it moves fast. In a sense, it reminds me of a plastic ball and it sounds plastic when you bounce it.

Striking it is a different story, as the ball feels like a leather ball, only it seems to encompass your foot when you strike it. When you control the ball off a long pass, you can feel the energy of the ball on your foot. Even though it is super light, there is a lot of power hidden inside!
