While teaching soccer formations and soccer drills a way to improve the specific skills of your players is to use a variety of fun soccer training drills. Make sure you keep a special attention when the drills are being performed.
If you don’t want your players to bump into each other, especially when there are a lot of kids on the field make sure they keep their heads up. In these situations, they must also watch out to see that the ball is not being passed back to someone who is already in possession of a ball.
While practicing drills, many skills develop player confidence and technique, making them alert to the parts of the body they use while passing or handling the ball. Different parts of the body of a player are involved during a game situation, so it’s very important that the they keep on perfecting the creativity skills to be able to decide what to do almost automatically. Soccer Positions are also important.
What About Juggling?
Players usually like to perform this technique more than anything else. Everybody likes to juggle a soccer ball.. It is a great method to build response in the player, alertness and speed. Did I say feet only? Be alert and make sure they practice using all parts of the body inclusing the head, thighs and chest. All players have a foot thet performs better. They tend to do everything with that foot and the other one is left only for ’support’. Make sure they practice with both feet.
The player must practice and concentrate on controlled touch with the ball to make his juggling effective. If he doesn?t, his touches will go awry. Ball control is always one of the skills that a player must try to improve. Some touches will be bad and the player will lose the ball. But the player must make immediate efforts to get the ball back.
Kid’s body position is a vital element. You must ensure that all your players are taught proper body posture for various positions and skills. Let your players know that nothing is achieved without dedication and effort. This is not going to happen in 24 hours. Teach your players to juggle in a static position and without running from place to place after the ball. As they become better, they can start to move slowly in one direction. You can add more variations like introduting an opponent or time limits.
Let your players know that if they practive juggking just about 15 minutes a day, they can become very good at it in no time. When teaching soccer tactics strategies, always remember that nothing replaces persistance and repetition. The word is practice, practice… and then practice some more..
